Yesterday was the embarrassing milestone of A WHOLE YEAR without the bot being updated...

Are they really going to do something or should we just consider it dead?

There has been an update!
Nightly version 6 Drever has been released.


If you only see version 5 in your universe, then that may be true.
But you could also sit down and write something yourself.

We are happy when something new comes along, no question.
But constantly spreading these negative vibes doesn't make it any better.

You get this bot for FREE. The MFBot Team works on this Bot on their free time and dont get paid.

In their last post Robin stated that few people are working on the bot and private stuff that interfered with the developement.

Just be thankful for what we have.

irgendwie ist es doch etwas erschreckend.
Ich persönlich kann gut verstehen, dass es mittlerweile viele Leute gibt, die maßlos enttäuscht darüber sind, dass die Entwickler es nun bereits seit über einem halben Jahr (letzte Nachricht von Robin am 27. Jan 2024) keinerlei Aussage zum Bot zu machen.
Natürlich kann sicherlich jeder verstehen, dass man im Leben Prioritäten setzen muss und manchmal nicht alles so läuft, wie man sich das vorgestellt hat. Aber das geht ja leider jedem so.
Trotzdem bin ich der Meinung, dass man natürlich seiner Enttäuschung und insbesondere seiner Meinung Ausdruck geben dürfen muss. Oder ist es denn doch kein freies Land mehr? Schließlich wird auch Scheiße nicht zu Gold, nur weil sie umsonst ist (bildlich gesprochen).
Ich habe nun bereits mehrfach die Frage gelesen, ob der Bot nun tot ist oder nicht. Diese Frage können jedoch nur die Entwickler beantworten. Aber die ignorieren "ihr Baby" ja nun bereits gekonnt seit über einem halben Jahr, obwohl es seitdem bereits etliche updates im Spiel mit teils signifikanten Änderungen gegeben hat, zu denen man zumindest ein paar Worte hätte finden können/müssen. Ich spreche hierbei vom nun fehlenden Spiegel. Offensichtlich tut sich aber auch nichts bei bereits vorher bekannten Problemen (Barden).
Wie denn auch immer, ich meine, dass es immer möglich sein muss monatlich ein paar Worte zum Stand des Bots oder auch bestehender Probleme zu finden. Ob das nun Robin oder wer auch immer des Teams ist. Es ist eine Sache, wenn man darstellt, "dass nach über 10 Jahren ist es allerdings durchaus möglich, dass wir nicht mehr so spontan und zügig reagieren, wie ihr das bisher gewohnt wart" (Zitat Robin vom 27.01.2024). Die Frage ist hierbei natürlich, was da mit "nicht mehr so spontan und zügig" gemeint ist. Wenn das heißen sollte, dass man jährlich etwas schreibt ist man ja noch gut in der Zeit.
Sicherlich machen es die Entwickler in ihrer Freizeit und -falls man nichts spendet- natürlich kostenfrei, ich bin sicher, dass sich dessen jeder bewusst und auch entsprechend dankbar ist. ABER Kommunikation kostet nur wenig Zeit und würde allen weiter helfen. Ich bin ganz sicher, dass die Nutzer des Bots auch dankbar über weniger gute Nachrichten wären. Aber Vermutungen und Gerüchte haben noch nie jemand weiter geholfen.
Ich würde mich sehr darüber freuen, wenn die Entwickler sich doch noch "zeitnah" zu einer Reaktion durchringen können.

Personally, I can understand that there are now a lot of people who are extremely disappointed that the developers have not made any statement about the bot for over half a year now (last message from Robin on Jan 27, 2024).
Of course, everyone can understand that you have to set priorities in life and that sometimes things don't go the way you imagined. But unfortunately that's the case for everyone.
Nevertheless, I think that you should be allowed to express your disappointment and especially your opinion. Or is it no longer a free country? After all, shit doesn't turn into gold just because it's free (figuratively speaking).
I've read the question several times now as to whether the bot is dead or not. However, only the developers can answer this question. But they have been skillfully ignoring "their baby" for over half a year now, even though there have been a number of updates to the game since then, some of which have made significant changes, about which at least a few words could/should have been found. I'm talking about the mirror that is now missing. But obviously nothing is happening with previously known problems (bards).
Be that as it may, I think that it should always be possible to find a few words on the status of the bot or existing problems every month. Whether that's Robin or whoever else on the team. It's one thing to say, "after more than 10 years, it's quite possible that we're no longer reacting as spontaneously and quickly as you were used to" (quote from Robin on January 27, 2024). The question here is, of course, what is meant by "no longer as spontaneous and quick". If that means that you write something every year, you're still well within the time limit.
The developers certainly do it in their free time and - if you don't donate anything - of course free of charge, I'm sure that everyone is aware of that and is grateful accordingly. BUT communication only takes a little time and would help everyone. I'm quite sure that the users of the bot would also be grateful for less good news. But speculation and rumors have never helped anyone.
I would be very happy if the developers could still bring themselves to respond "in a timely manner".

Natürlich darf man nachfragen aber die Art und weise wie es geamcht wurde könnte höflicher sein.
